Prayer for Self-Forgiveness
Seeking self-forgiveness in Jesus' name, this prayer acknowledges past mistakes, asks for release from guilt, and seeks peace through God's grace and compassion.
Heavenly Father,
I come before You seeking Your grace and mercy as I struggle with forgiving myself. I acknowledge the burden of my past mistakes and the weight of my own self-condemnation. I ask for Your help in finding peace through self-forgiveness.
Lord, I carry the weight of my past failings, and it has become a barrier to experiencing Your love and grace. I ask for Your help in releasing the guilt and shame that I have been carrying, and in accepting the forgiveness that You offer.
Help me to grasp the depth of Your unconditional love and the boundless nature of Your forgiveness. May I come to understand that I am worthy of forgiveness, not because of my own merit, but because of Your grace and compassion.
Grant me the ability to extend the same grace to myself that You offer, and help me to see myself through Your eyes â as a beloved child, worthy of love, forgiveness, and redemption.
I pray for the strength and wisdom to learn from my mistakes and to grow into a better person through Your guidance and grace. May I use my past experiences to become more compassionate, understanding, and empathetic towards others.
I seek Your help in restoring my sense of self-worth and in renewing my spirit. May I find the courage to let go of the past and to embrace the new beginning that comes from self-forgiveness.
Thank You, Lord, for Your boundless love and forgiveness. I offer this prayer for self-forgiveness, trusting in Your grace to heal and restore my heart.
Amen.
